The Ohio Press Network (OPN) is an Ohio-owned, independent media company founded in 2021 with a mission to uncover the truth in state government and a commitment to deliver it through fact-based news and reporting.

About MCFAN: Our meetings take place from 9:00 – 10:30 AM on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. Our meeting venue is the Thirsty Cowboy (2743 Medina Rd., Medina). Each meeting features a guest speaker followed by socialization with fellow conservatives. The cost for meetings is $5.00 per person to cover room rental and coffee. CUYAHOGA: Braver Angels – Media Impact on Our Political Climate

Join us on January 17th where we will learn tips on how to have a civil conversation
when dealing with ‘hot’ topics, followed by a discussion on how we use the media to
form and confirm our positions. Share your thoughts and listen to others express theirs
on topics such as:
✔ What are the top 3 media sources that you access on a regular basis? (Print,
radio, TV, podcasts, social media)
✔ How might your choice of media impact how you view politics?
✔ Where do those sources fall on the media bias continuum?
Meeting format will be small group discussions allowing you to share your thoughts with fellow
Braver Angels from both sides of the aisle.

A clear, precise truthful word that is spoken and understood not only makes sense, it’s actually precious! Like a puzzle-key, it becomes a foundation, a direction, a world-view that can breathes life and hope into our black-is-white, up-is-down, boy-is-girl world. Such a word is what we need, want, will grab, hold tightly, love & share with family and friends.

2. Wycliffe Bible Translators Missionary, David Lamb shares his story about how God’s word is making big, dramatic powerful changes in individuals, villages and the nation of New Guinea. David uses words and sound-track media at his work location in Papua New Guinea (PNG)– a land of approximately 840 different languages. Only 13 of those languages have complete Bibles using culturally appropriate media.

Over the past three and a half years, David has worked on 24 different language projects–including 5 full New Testament recordings. Learn about one project, the Kaluli New Testament, a dramatized recorded version in a remote village with 67 different readers, including a few who walked nine hours through the jungle to be a readers.

MEDINA: MCFAN December 9th Meeting & Christmas Party

Our last MCFAN meeting of the year will be on Saturday, December 9th. Join us as we welcome one of our favorite guest speakers, Bob Frantz, who will be here to help us close out the year. Many of you are familiar with Bob and know that he is a champion of conservative ideals. As the host of the show “Always Right Radio” on WHK, he skillfully articulates the many challenges facing our country with a unique blend of wit and wisdom.

Also, we will be having our annual Christmas party that day, so if you would like to bring along some holiday treats to share, it would be very much appreciated. Invite your friends and family to come along and join in the fun!
